Psychological Assessments
What is it?
Psychological assessment combines information from different sources (self-report, psychological tests, etc) to develop an understanding of a person’s cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning.
This information can then help determine the appropriate diagnosis, assist in treatment planning or monitoring progress and also provide insights into strengths, weaknesses, and tailored recommendations.
It usually includes objective tests, self-reports, interviews, collateral information, and observations to evaluate mental health and behavior.
What types of evaluations are offered?
Psychodiagnostic

Supports treatment planning.
Psychoeducational
Identifies learning difficulties (e.g., reading, writing, math).
Provides recommendations & accommodations.
Who should be referred?
Patients with complex issues or uncertainty about a diagnosis.
Children who are experiencing difficulty with attention, behavioral issues, or learning difficulties.
